Jacobs started acting classes at age 8 and continued to take sessions on Saturdays at Pittsburgh Playhouse. Mt. Jacobs which she graduated from in 2000 from Lebanon High School moved into New York City New York to study at the Juilliard School. Her bachelor's degree was awarded in 2004.
